The Pawsome Squad, formerly known as Mikey’s Pawsome Charity, was founded in the fall of 2019 in Memory of Mikey, our rescue Chihuahua. Mikey passed away in April of 2019, and in his memory, we decided to host a fundraising charity softball tournament in September 2019, which was attended by over 300 people in Central Park, NYC. It was suppose to be a one time thing but many liked our event and would continue to support our mission.

In 2020, the world turned upside down due to the Pandemic. But we continued to make strides and assist as many rescue organizations that we can help during this time. In September of 2020, Max, our first and oldest rescue passed away. At that point, we decided to switch our name to Pawsome Squad (aka NYC Pawsome Squad, locally) in Honor of Max, Mikey, and their little sister, Maggie (still living her best life), and revamped our mission.

The Pawsome Squad is a social impact organization that helps provide care, education, adoption programs, fostering, special needs services, and public awareness for rescue animals that were left to fend for themselves. Our mission is to ensure the public is aware of the importance to adopt all animals rescued so they can be given a second chance at life.
